Director Community And Environmental Resilience at National Recreation and Park Association

Ayanna Williams has a diverse work experience in the non-profit sector. Ayanna is currently the Director of Community and Environmental Resilience at the National Recreation and Park Association since April 2021. Prior to this role, they served as the Healthy Cities Director at The Nature Conservancy from October 2018 to April 2021. Ayanna also worked as the Director of Community Building at Park Pride from October 2007 to September 2018. Early in their career, they held the position of Volunteer Coordinator at United Way of Central Indiana from July 2005 to July 2007.

Ayanna Williams obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Wayne State University from 1999 to 2001. Afterward, they pursued a Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) specializing in Community and Social Systems at the University of Michigan, which they completed from 2002 to 2004.
