Akhilesh Magal

Akhilesh Magal is an experienced professional in the renewable energy sector, currently serving as a Project Manager at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory since May 2022. As the Founder of Climate Dot and Co-Founder of Wedge, both established in late 2021 and early 2021 respectively, Akhilesh has demonstrated entrepreneurial leadership. Previously, Akhilesh was the Head of Renewable Advisory at the Gujarat Energy Research and Management Institute, where responsibilities included advising the Government of Gujarat on energy transition matters. Akhilesh also held the position of Head of Project Development at Bridge to India Pvt. Ltd., overseeing business development in the solar market, and worked as a Senior Engineer at Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions Ltd., focusing on embedded control systems for diesel engines. Academically, Akhilesh holds a Policy Leader Fellowship in Energy Policy from the European University Institute and a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, alongside a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication from the Bangalore Institute of Technology.
