Georgios Deskos

Georgios Deskos is a highly skilled Project Leader and Senior Offshore Wind Engineer with extensive experience in renewable energy, currently employed at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory since October 2019. Previous roles include serving as a Computational Scientist and Postdoctoral Researcher at the same laboratory, as well as a Postdoctoral Research Associate and PhD Candidate at Imperial College London, where research focused on numerical simulations of wind turbine wakes. Early career experiences include a Graduate Teaching Assistant position at Virginia Tech, military service as a Private in the Hellenic Army, and a Trainee Civil Engineer role with NATO. Georgios holds a PhD in Earth Science and Engineering from Imperial College London, a Master's degree in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech, and a Diploma in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens.
