Karen Donaldson

Project Manager at National Robotarium

Karen Donaldson has a diverse work experience in both academia and project management. Karen currently works as a Project Manager at The National Robotarium since 2022. Prior to that, they held various roles at the University of Edinburgh School of Engineering, including Academic Lead Robotics Superlab, Postdoctoral Researcher, and Postdoctoral Research Associate from 2019 onwards. From 2016 to 2018, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Strathclyde. In 2015, they worked as a Private Sciences and Mathematics Tutor.

Karen Donaldson has a strong educational background in Physics. Karen completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Hons degree in Physics from the University of Strathclyde from 2000 to 2004. Karen then pursued further studies at the same university and obtained a Master of Science (Msc) with Merits degree in High Power Radio Frequency Science and Engineering from 2005 to 2006. Karen's academic journey culminated in a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Physics, specializing in Space plasma and radiation, which they earned from the University of Strathclyde from 2006 to 2014.
