Baishakhi Basu

Baishakhi Basu is an accomplished researcher and statistical consultant with a focus on public health and anthropology. As a Principal Investigator at the National Science Foundation, Baishakhi leads a doctoral dissertation research project exploring the effects of nutrition on ovarian aging in Bangladeshi women. Baishakhi has extensive experience in quantitative research design, grant management, and data analysis using R, along with expertise in qualitative research, having conducted in-depth interviews for population health perceptions. Additional roles include statistical consulting for graduate students at the University of Washington, and prior experience with various research organizations, including icddr,b and the Wenner-Gren Foundation. Baishakhi holds a PhD in Anthropology and several advanced degrees from the University of Washington and Delhi University, reflecting a strong academic background in the social sciences and public health.
