Bridget Turaga serves as a Strategic Advisor for Technology, Innovation & Partnerships and Program Director at the National Science Foundation since April 2019. Prior experience includes leadership roles at the U.S. Department of State from September 2012 to April 2019, where Bridget established a Global Strategy Unit and served as Global Strategy Unit Chief, Strategic Planning Unit Chief, and Deputy Director. Bridget has also held positions as the Senior Strategic & Economic Dialogue Coordinator, and Environment, Science, Technology, & Health Deputy Chief, while serving as an AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellow. Prior to these roles, Bridget worked with the White House as NSC Director for China and Asian Economic Affairs, and as a Research Scholar at the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Bridget's early career included a summer internship at the U.S. Department of Energy and consulting for the British Consulate-General in Boston. Bridget earned a PhD in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a ScB in Biology from Brown University.
