Olga Pierrakos is a dedicated educator and program director with extensive experience in STEM education and undergraduate programs. Currently serving as Program Director for the STEM Education Directorate at the National Science Foundation since January 2024, Olga previously held a similar role at NSF from August 2015 to August 2017, where responsibilities included managing program portfolios, advising grantees, and representing NSF in educational initiatives. As a Founding Chair and Professor at Wake Forest University since August 2017, Olga has contributed significantly to academic leadership and curriculum development. Prior experience includes serving as an Associate Professor and Founding Faculty member at James Madison University from December 2007 to July 2017. Olga holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering and two additional degrees from Virginia Tech, including a Master's in Engineering Mechanics and a Bachelor's in Engineering Science and Mechanics.
