Elissa McLerran Gilliam

Elissa McLerran Gilliam currently serves as the Legislative Director for the National Sorghum Producers and is a Board Member for the 118 Foundation, which supports young adults battling cancer. Previously, Elissa held the position of Senior Director of Public Policy at the American Frozen Food Institute and has served as Legislative Director and Legislative Assistant in the U.S. House of Representatives. Other notable roles include Public Policy Communications Manager at the Food Marketing Institute and various leadership positions within the National FFA Organization and the Tennessee Farm Bureau Young Farmers & Ranchers. Elissa holds a Master of Science in Agricultural Communication/Journalism from Texas Tech University and a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Business and Management from Tennessee Technological University.
