Heather O'Byrne has extensive work experience in the legal field. Heather started their career as a Solicitor at Lennon Heather in 2001 and worked there until 2003. Heather then joined Peter Morrissey & Co as an Associate Solicitor and remained there for ten years, from 2004 to 2014. Since 2014, Heather has been working at the National Treasury Management Agency and its subsidiary, the National Asset Management Agency. Heather initially served as a Solicitor and Team Leader in the Residential Delivery division until 2018, when they were promoted to Senior Divisional Solicitor in the same department. In July 2022, they assumed their current role as Head of Residential - Legal at the National Asset Management Agency.

Heather O'Byrne has a diverse education history. In 1998, they obtained a Bachelor of Civil Law degree from University College Cork. In 2003, they entered the Roll of Solicitors after completing their studies at the Law Society of Ireland. Heather continued to enhance their legal knowledge by completing several diploma programs at the Law Society of Ireland. In 2005, they earned a Diploma in Property Tax, followed by a Diploma in IT & IP in 2013. Later in 2013, they obtained a Diploma in Employment Law from the Law Society of Ireland as well. Heather's education continued in 2015 and 2016 when they pursued a Post Grad Dip in Construction Law and Contract Administration at Trinity College Dublin.
