Benedict Orchard is an experienced sustainability professional currently serving as a Carbon Action Officer at the National Trust, where responsibilities include supporting the organization in achieving its Net Zero by 2030 goal through carbon emission management. Previously, Benedict held the position of Energy and Environment Manager at Superdry and served as a Trustee at Adnams Community Trust, where decision-making on funding applications was essential. As Environmental Sustainability Manager at Adnams, Benedict coordinated the sustainability agenda for a prominent brewery and retailer, while also gaining valuable experience as an Environmental Intern focused on product carbon lifecycle assessments. Earlier, a BSc Placement Student at Anglian Water Services contributed to writing a significant statutory Government report regarding climate adaptation initiatives. Benedict holds a degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of East Anglia and A Levels in Maths, Chemistry, and Geography from Northgate Sixth Form.
