Orla T.

Orla T. has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Orla currently serves as the NUS Wales President at the National Union of Students (UK). Prior to this, they were the Vice President Postgraduate Students at Cardiff University Students' Union, where they worked to improve the student experience and served as a trustee and director for the union's trading subsidiary. Orla also worked as a Project Assistant at Taff Housing Association. In their earlier roles at Cardiff University Students' Union, Orla served as the Vice President Societies and Volunteering, focusing on enhancing the student experience, and as the Mental Health Officer, advocating for students' mental health and implementing awareness campaigns. Orla also worked as a Student Welfare Intern, managing logistics and quality control for the Freshers' Team. Orla's work experience also includes being a Residence Life Assistant at Cardiff University, providing residential support and organizing activities for first-year residents. Orla started their career at Cardiff University Students' Union as a Venues Assistant, maintaining cleanliness and providing excellent customer service in various venues. Later, they became a Venues Team Leader, overseeing the operations of multiple venues.

From 2020 to 2021, Orla attended Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd, where they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Operational Research, Applied Statistics & Financial Risk.

Prior to that, from 2014 to 2019, Orla also attended Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd and obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mathematics.
