Geoffrey Otim, MSc. is a seasoned professional in the field of synthetic biology and medical laboratory sciences, currently serving as a Research Associate at the National University of Singapore and a member of the UN Biodiversity's Ad Hoc Technical Expert Group on Synthetic Biology. With extensive experience spanning various roles, including Executive Director of Timu Grand Africa Safaris and Founder & CEO of SynBio Africa, Geoffrey has developed initiatives focused on pandemic preparedness and the promotion of synthetic biology technologies across Africa. Educational qualifications include master's degrees from Université Paris Cité and the United Nations Institute for Training and Research, along with additional specialized training in science policy and health management. Previous positions include managing medical laboratory services for UNMISS and working as a Medical Laboratory Technologist at Uganda Virus Research Institute, among others.
