Tara Prout has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Tara is currently the Vice President of Partnerships and Advancement at the National Urban League. Prior to this, they worked at CCS Fundraising as an Assistant Vice President, where they led diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives and served as a mentor and moderator. Tara also held positions as a Senior Director and Executive Director at the same company. At The National September 11 Memorial & Museum, Prout worked as a Memorial Exhibition and Registries Manager, overseeing exhibition evaluation programs and managing schedules and budgets. Tara also has experience as a Communications Associate at The Parrish Art Museum, an Assistant Project Manager at Suzanne Randolph Fine Arts, and an Administrative Coordinator and Student Advisor at Istituto Lorenzo de' Medici. Additionally, Prout worked as an Editorial Assistant at MACRO - Museo d'Arte Contemporanea di Roma and as a Client Services Manager at MediaWhiz. Tara began their career as a Junior Interior Designer at Bruce Bierman Design.

Tara Prout obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Art History from Georgetown University, where they studied from 2003 to 2007. Tara later pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Museum Studies at Marist College, completing their education there from 2011 to 2012.
