Lee Mathewson

Lee Mathewson is a highly experienced actuary currently serving as a Senior Actuary at Nationwide since April 2022. Prior to this role, Lee worked as a Senior Actuary at Guy Carpenter, where responsibilities included pricing and evaluating reinsurance contracts for global clients and modelling casualty catastrophes. Lee has a strong background in leadership, having served as Managing Director of Hagerty UK, overseeing business operations and team management, and as Vice President of International Insurance Products at Hagerty (U.S.), focusing on product development and reinsurance operations. Earlier career experience includes positions at AF - Group and Central Insurance, where Lee managed loss reserve processes and operational forecasting. Lee holds a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics from Purdue University and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Wright State University.
