Don Russell

Don Russell has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. Don co-founded Russell Creative in 2012 where they served as the Creative Director and provided clients with creative insights, strategic thinking, and human-centered design workshops. Don led teams in transforming technical and scientific concepts into clear visual and verbal language for various audiences. In 2020, they became a Partner and Brand Strategy Co-lead at Native. Prior to that, they worked at Source Communications as a Creative Supervisor overseeing multichannel retail partner marketing programs for Sony and leading creative teams. Don also held positions at Source Communications as a Senior Copywriter and Copywriter, where they oversaw copywriting for HP projects and contributed to new business pitches. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Freelance Copywriter at The Marra Group, providing concepts and copy for various client marketing programs, and as a Copywriter at I-many, Inc., where they wrote copy for marketing communications and collaborated with the web development team.

Don Russell attended Montclair State University from 1994 to 1999, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. Don then went on to further their education at the California College of the Arts from 2019 to 2021, obtaining a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Design Strategy.
