Frank Weil

Frank Weil is Director of Product Strategy at Updraft and isresponsible for designing automated tools which aid in themodernization of large scale and mission-critical legacy softwaresystems. He has extensive experience in software engineering,including development and testing, modeling languages, automatic codegeneration and translation, image and speech processing, andartificial intelligence. While at Motorola, Frank was Chief Architectand managed the Software Engineering and Tools Technology Group whichsupported Motorola software developers world-wide with automationtechnology. He received his PhD in Electrical and ComputerEngineering from Purdue University.

Frank holds a patent and has authored numerous publications spanning awide range of software engineering topics. He has served on severalMotorola corporate technical advisory boards and steering committees;was on the Industrial Advisory Boards of the NSF Repository for ModelDriven Development and the Software Engineering Research Center; and wasa co-chair, track chair, reviewer, and panel member with professionalconferences.
