Miriam Ramsey serves as the Chief of Staff to the Director General of the Reconciliation Implementation Branch at Natural Resources Canada since August 2020, following roles as a Senior Policy Analyst and Policy Analyst within the department. Previously, Miriam worked as a Junior Analyst at Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada, contributing to funding policy development for Indigenous governments. Additional experience includes a Research Assistant position with the SFU Adaptation to Climate Change Team, a Process Advisor role at the BC Treaty Commission, and research roles with Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada. Miriam also coordinated community events for the Yukon Official Opposition Caucus and managed a fundraising campaign for the United Way of Greater Victoria. Educational credentials include a Master’s in Public Policy from Simon Fraser University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Public Administration with distinction from the University of Victoria.
