Aline Goganian has diverse work experience in the environmental and sustainability field. Their most recent role was as a Facilities Manager at the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) starting in October 2018. Prior to that, they worked as an Office Coordinator at NRDC from June 2012.
Aline also volunteered at the Armenia Tree Project in 2011, where they contributed 30 hours per week to various research, administrative, and field operations related to reforestation, community tree planting, poverty reduction programs, and environmental education. Aline initiated a vermi-composting system and created resources to promote composting in the community.
In 2010, Aline held a position as a Program Assistant at the Solana Center for Environmental Innovation, where they conducted research on recycling outreach programs and assisted with waste diversion efforts. Aline also organized and led composting workshops.
In addition, Aline worked as a Teacher's Assistant in the Environmental Studies Department at UC San Diego in 2011, and as an Environmental Research Intern in the Planning Department of the City of Hillsboro, Oregon in 2010.
Aline Goganian attended UC San Diego from 2007 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Systems-Environmental Policy, Urban Studies and Planning. In 2009, they participated in a Study Abroad Program at the University of the West Indies in Barbados, focusing on Ecology and Economics. Prior to their college education, they attended Santa Monica High School from 2004 to 2007. Aline Goganian also holds a certification in CPR/AED/First Aid from the American Red Cross.
