Director DEI Learning at Natural Resources Defense Council

Daré Saliu-Ibiefo has extensive work experience in the field of human resources and organizational development.

From 2023 to present, Daré has been working as the Director DEI Learning at the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC).

From 2020 to 2023, Daré held the position of Director Talent Development and Inclusion Learning at Hearst. In this role, they defined and led Hearst's Inclusion and Belonging ethos, designed and executed diversity and inclusion programs, and collaborated with senior HR leaders on D&I action plans.

Prior to that, from 2015 to 2020, Daré worked at Affinity Health Plan as a Program Manager in Learning and Organizational Development. Daré also served as the Manager Instructional Designer and Employee Engagement during this time, where they designed distance and blended learning courses.

From 2015 to 2015, Daré worked at Allergan as a Consultant in Compliance & Ethics Training. Here, they managed the Enterprise Learning Management System and led the design and development of online training programs.

From 2011 to 2015, Daré was the Global HR & Organizational Development Lead at EngenderHealth. Daré provided support for change management efforts, conducted staff development workshops, and recommended talent development interventions. Daré also served as an Organizational Development / HR and Employee Experience Specialist during this time, managing talent acquisition and implementing recruitment strategies.

Daré's earlier work experience includes roles such as HR/Labor Relations Graduate Program Brand Associate at Rutgers School of Management and Labor Relations, HR Management Associate at Citi, and Federal and State Quality Assurance & Accreditation Training Specialist at The Kintock Group, Inc.

Daré's career began at the Nigerian National Assembly, where they worked as an HR Communication and Diplomatic Liaison Officer from 1999 to 2005.

Daré Saliu-Ibiefo, MHRM, MSc. has a strong educational background in human resource management and general management. They obtained a Masters degree in Human Resource Management (MHRM) from Rutgers University, completing their studies from 2006 to 2009. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in General Management and Leadership at the University of Lagos, studying from 2003 to 2005. Daré also holds a Bachelors degree (B.Sc.) in Labor Relations & Human Resource Management from the University of Lagos, which they earned between 1996 and 1999.

In addition to their formal education, Daré has obtained several certifications and completed professional training programs. They are a Hearst INCLUDE Certified Change Agent, having completed the certification program offered by Hearst in both January 2022 and August 2021. They have also earned a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education in May 2021.

Furthermore, Daré has engaged in professional development through online platforms such as Lynda.com. They have completed courses on various topics including Inclusive Mindset, Managing Virtual Teams, Making Great Sales Presentations, Public Speaking Fundamentals, and Negotiation Foundations.
