Jess Sloan's work experience includes positions at various organizations. Jess currently works as a Salesforce Administrator at the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) since November 2021. Prior to this, Jess served as a Data & Evaluation Associate at the Making Waves College and Alumni Program from August 2019 to November 2021. In this role, they managed Salesforce and various integrations, created dashboards and reports, and facilitated data reflection meetings.
Before that, Jess worked as an Access Data Associate at the East Bay College Fund from August 2018 to August 2019. Jess collected and analyzed data, managed Salesforce and other system integrations, and created reports for external partners.
Additionally, Jess served as a Learner Experience Coach at PBL Consulting from April 2017 to August 2019, where they facilitated professional development sessions and workshops on project-based learning.
In previous roles, Jess was an Intern/Program Coordinator at Seattle's Union Gospel Mission from September 2015 to June 2018, mentoring youth and coordinating programming. Jess also worked as a Juvenile Justice Basebuilder at Mid-City Community Advocacy Network from June 2017 to December 2017, organizing campaigns and making policy recommendations.
Jess's past experience also includes serving as the ASSP Vice President of Intercultural Affairs at Seattle Pacific University from September 2016 to June 2017, managing a budget and organizing campus-wide events. Jess also worked as a Beacon Storyteller/Operations Intern at GiveSafe, a startup focused on helping individuals experiencing homelessness, from October 2016 to April 2017.
Furthermore, Jess worked as a Student Caller for University Advancement at Seattle Pacific University from February 2015 to April 2016, and volunteered at the Miracle League of San Diego from September 2010 to November 2014.
Jess Sloan, MPPA, has a solid educational background. They obtained their Master of Public Policy & Administration with a specialization in Data Analytics for Public Policy from Northwestern University in 2022. Prior to that, Jess earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Global Development, with a minor in Reconciliation Studies, from Seattle Pacific University, where they studied from 2014 to 2018.
In addition to their formal education, Jess has also acquired certifications in Salesforce. In April 2022, they became a Salesforce Certified Data Architect, and in April 2020, they obtained the Salesforce Certified Administrator (SCA) certification.
