Rabi Abonour has a diverse work experience that spans several industries and roles. Starting in 2013, they worked as a Photography Intern at the Bloomington Herald-Times. In 2014, they served as an Editorial Intern at Serious Eats and Gothamist.com before becoming a Video Production Intern at Carrot - a VICE company. In 2015, they worked as a Web Production Assistant at Saveur Magazine. Moving on, in 2016, they became a Graduate Student Researcher at the UCLA Luskin Institute of Transportation Studies, where they conducted research and wrote reports. They continued their education in 2017 as an Administrative Intern at Los Angeles Metro and as a Transportation Planning Intern at WSP USA. Most recently, in 2019, they took on the role of a Research Associate at the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC).
Rabi Abonour completed a Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana University from 2009 to 2013. During this time, they focused on majoring in Mideast Studies with a minor in International Studies. Additionally, they earned a certificate in Journalism. Later, from 2016 to 2018, Rabi pursued a Master of Urban and Regional Planning degree at UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs.
