John K Pattison-Williams

PHD Researcher at Natural Resources Institute

John K. Pattison-Williams is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Alberta, focusing on social perceptions of Chronic Wasting Disease among various stakeholders, and serves as President of Pattison Resource Consulting Ltd., which specializes in the economic and social dimensions of environmental conservation. As Program Director for the Biodiversity and Research Grants at the Alberta Conservation Association, John oversees research initiatives in biodiversity and conservation. Additional roles include being a PHD Researcher and sessional lecturer in conservation ecology, as well as previous engagement with organizations such as Ducks Unlimited Canada and Battle River Watershed Alliance. John holds a PhD in Natural Resources Management and Policy from the University of Greenwich, a Master’s in Agricultural and Natural Resource Economics, and a Bachelor’s in Environmental Science, both from the University of Alberta.
