Shweta Ganapati

Shweta Ganapati, PhD, is a Senior Policy Advisor at the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) since August 2020, focusing on international relations, strategic policy, government relations, and open science. Previous roles at NSERC include Senior Program Analyst and Canadian Science Policy Fellow, where contributions were made to international policy files. Shweta served as Director of Outreach & Engagement for the Journal of Science Policy & Governance and as Program Manager at the Canadian Science Policy Centre, specializing in business development and program management. Prior experience includes research scientist roles at SD Nanosciences and the University of Maryland, where innovative solutions in surfactant-based technology and molecular recognition were developed. Academic credentials include a PhD in Molecular Recognition & Supramolecular Chemistry from the University of Maryland, along with Master and Bachelor degrees in Chemistry from Delhi University and St. Stephen's College, respectively.
