Carolyn Davies

Program Director (acting) at The Nature Conservancy of Canada

Carolyn Davies is an experienced conservation professional currently serving as the acting Program Director for the Nature Conservancy of Canada in the Ontario Region, focusing on large-scale securement projects and conservation planning to support Canada’s 30% by 2030 conservation goal. Previously, as a Conservation Biologist, Carolyn developed property management plans and monitored biodiversity metrics. Carolyn has also held notable positions such as Coordinator of the Centre for Bee Ecology, Evolution & Conservation at York University, where responsibilities included grant administration and network building. Early career experiences include roles as a Bumblebee Conservation Technician, Program Development Lead at Scientists in School, and various zookeeper positions at the Toronto Zoo. Carolyn holds a Master of Environmental Science from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from the University of Guelph.
