Folkert Jan Jager has extensive experience in finance and management roles. Starting in 1989, they worked at Akzo Nobel Decorative Coatings as a Controller and Business Analyst. Folkert Jan then joined GE Capital in 1998, serving as a CFO for Benelux, Italy, and Spain, and later as a Controller for the Netherlands. In 2002, they worked at Eastman Chemical Company as the EMEA Business Controller before joining DupontSA as the Corporate Business Controller. From 2003 to 2006, Jager worked at GE Capital as the European Asset Manager. Folkert Jan then moved on to Coca-Cola Enterprises Benelux as a Divisional Controller and later joined UTC Fire & Security as a Finance Director. After that, they worked as a CFO at Vitens Evides International BV, where they provided support for local water companies in developing countries. In 2016, Jager became the CFO for Sustainable Forestry Investments BV, overseeing sustainable forestry management projects in Ghana and Tanzania. Finally, in 2023, they joined NatureFinance as the Finance Director.
Folkert Jan Jager completed their M.Sc. degree in International Accounting & Finance at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from 1988 to 1989. Prior to that, they received their M.Sc. in Business Administration from Maastricht University, where they studied from 1984 to 1988. Later on, from 1990 to 1993, they pursued a degree in Register Controller (RC) at Maastricht University. Folkert Jan has also obtained a certification in Register Controller from VRC, although the specific month and year of obtaining the certification are not provided.
