Benjamin Neisen has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Benjamin began their career as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Minnesota Duluth, where they conducted research on poly-ferrocenyl porphyrin complexes and their potential use as small molecule data storage devices. Benjamin also served as a General Chemistry Teaching Assistant during their time at the university.

After completing their undergraduate studies, Benjamin pursued further education at the University of Minnesota and worked as a Graduate Student. As a graduate student, they focused on the synthesis and investigation of model copper-oxygen complexes to enhance the understanding of biological metalloenzymatic function in the activation and functionalization of small molecule substrates. Additionally, Benjamin took on roles such as Finance Chair in the Graduate Student Symposium Planning Committee, where they organized and executed a full-day symposium for a national meeting and exposition.

Following their studies, Benjamin joined the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) as a Postdoctorate Researcher in Basic Energy Science. During their tenure at PNNL, they conducted research in the field of energy science.

Currently, Benjamin is employed at NatureWorks as a Sales and Lead Development Specialist. Benjamin recently transitioned to the role of Business Development Manager, indicating growth and advancement in their career.

Benjamin Neisen began their education in 2007 at the University of Minnesota Duluth, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Benjamin completed these degrees in 2011.

Continuing their education, Benjamin attended the University of Minnesota from 2011 to 2013, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Chemistry. Benjamin then pursued further studies at the same institution, completing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Chemistry in 2017.
