Anne Laerke Soerensen

Anne Laerke Soerensen is a researcher and curator at the Swedish Museum of Natural History since January 2020, focusing on environmental contaminants, including mercury and PFAS, through the Swedish Monitoring Programme for Contaminants in Marine Biota. Prior involvement includes serving as a Research Area Leader at the Bolin Centre for Climate Research and conducting significant research at Stockholm University, where Anne also co-founded the Stockholm University Young Faculty. Earlier positions include roles at Harvard School of Public Health and Aarhus Universitet, where Anne contributed to understanding contaminant cycling in marine environments. Anne holds a PhD in Atmospheric Chemistry from Aarhus University and has degrees in Biology from the University of Copenhagen.
