Suzanne Faxneld

Suzanne Faxneld is a seasoned curator at the Swedish Museum of Natural History, specializing in marine environmental monitoring of contaminants in fish from both the Baltic Sea and Sweden's freshwater environments since January 2012. Responsibilities include planning and coordinating the freshwater monitoring program, conducting statistical analyses, assessing contaminant concentrations, and engaging in scientific report writing. Prior to this role, Suzanne Faxneld served as a PhD student at Stockholm University from April 2006 to November 2011, focusing on anthropogenic disturbances. Starting at Stockholm University as a field assistant in the Botany Department from 2003 to 2005, Suzanne Faxneld contributed to a project assessing conservation biological models through fieldwork across Sweden. Educationally, Suzanne Faxneld earned a Master's degree in Biology from Stockholm University in 2004, following foundational studies in Social Anthropology from 1998 to 1999.
