Manager, Customer Enablement at Nautical Commerce

Emily Rushton has worked in a variety of roles since 2013. From 2013 to 2014, they were a Freelance Search Engine Optimized Content Developer and a Legal Assistant at Lawyers Orme. From 2015 to 2019, Emily was a Technical Content Developer II and an Associate Technical Content Developer at Dell EMC. During this time, they were responsible for creating and editing software documentation, resolving peers' technical DITA XML issues, and performing XML quality standards reviews. From 2019 to 2022, Emily was a Manager, Product Operations - Vault Safety, Technical Writer Lead - Vault Safety, and Technical Writer - Vault Safety at Veeva Systems. In their most recent role, they have been working closely with product and engineering leadership to ensure Agile SaaS releases are planned, executed, and validated on schedule in a fast-paced and highly-regulated industry. Emily has also managed a technical writing team and overseen all release & end-user documentation. Currently, Emily is the Customer Documentation and Training Manager at Nautical Commerce.

Emily Rushton completed a Bachelor of Arts - BA in Honours English Language and Literature from the University of Waterloo between 2010 and 2014. Emily then went on to earn a Master of Science - MS in Technical Communications, Computer Industry Writing Concentration from Northeastern University between 2015 and 2017. In 2021, Emily obtained two additional certifications - Managing People: Essentials from the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention from the Crisis Prevention Institute.
