Alex Goins

Alex Goins has a diverse work experience in robotics and engineering. Alex worked as a Robotics Software Engineer at Nauticus Robotics, Inc. starting in June 2018. Prior to that, they were a Research Engineer at Southwest Research Institute from June 2014 to May 2018. Alex also served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Robotics and Human Control Systems Lab, OSU from 2011 to June 2014. Additionally, they were the Grasping Technical Lead at Team ViGIR from September 2013 to December 2013. Alex also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Oregon State University from January 2012 to June 2013. Alex began their career as an R&D Engineer at FLIR Systems from February 2008 to September 2011.

Alex Goins obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Oklahoma State University. From 2003 to 2008, they pursued their undergraduate studies at this institution. Later, Alex Goins went on to pursue a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Oregon State University. They attended this university from 2011 to 2013.
