Michael Christoph Hammer

Michael Christoph Hammer has extensive experience in the finance and investment sector, currently serving as CFO at BMW i Ventures since January 2017. Michael is involved with several organizations as an investor, including Nauto, Boston Metal, PureCycle Technologies, and Ridecell, and has held observing roles at Proterra Inc. and Ridecell. Prior to these positions, Michael was an Investment Manager at the BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt, pioneering impact investing, and played a key role in managing a $20 billion portfolio as an Investment Manager at BMW Group. Michael began career as a Senior Investment Consultant at Mercer, providing advisory services to institutional investors and foundations. Michael holds a Master's degree in Financial Mathematics and Economics from Ulm University.
