Carolyn Dew is a Senior Designer/Researcher at Nava. Carolyn has previous experience working as an Innovation Specialist at both GSA and 18F. Carolyn has been working in the field of user experience for over 4 years and has played a key role in developing resources and services to improve interactions across federal agencies. Her work on the Draft U.S. Web Design Standards quickly became 18F’s most forked and starred repo, and has been used in projects for the VA, Office of Personnel Management, the Environmental Protection Agency, and others. In their current role at Nava, Carolyn is responsible for product roadmap planning and execution, as well as providing guidance and support to research and strategy teams.

Carolyn Dew received a BFA in Graphic Design, Art Theirtory, and Painting from Ohio University. Carolyn then pursued an MA in Journalism with a focus in Public Relations from Indiana University Bloomington. Carolyn completed their education with an MPA in Nonprofit Management from Indiana University Bloomington as well.

Their manager is Senongo Akpem, VP, Design & Research. They are on a team with Makaela Stephens - Designer/Researcher, Monique Baena-Tan - Designer/Researcher, and Lizzie Manning - Designer/Researcher.
