Principal Enterprise Architect, Data at NAVEX

Zach Smith-Steward has extensive work experience in the field of data architecture and management. Zach has held various roles at different companies over the years.

Starting in 2010, Zach worked as an IT Professional Intern at Chevron, where they gained experience in software application support and development. During this time, they also worked on SharePoint site design and implementation, as well as SQL Server data warehousing projects.

From 2011 to 2012, Zach served as a Web Master at the S.T.E.M. Center - California State University, Sacramento. Zach was responsible for updating and enhancing the center's website and played a role in migrating the website to a content management system.

Zach returned to Chevron in 2012 and took on roles such as Application Analyst & Software Developer, Data Architect, and Technical Lead. In these positions, they contributed to the design and implementation of data aggregation and unification solutions, developed application functionality, and participated in identity data access projects.

In 2018, Zach joined the University of Nevada, Reno as a Senior Enterprise Data Architect. Zach led efforts in data governance and data warehousing and collaborated with technical leaders and academic experts to design and implement a unified system for data management.

Afterward, Zach worked at Access | Information Management as a Sr. Data Architect, focusing on data management projects and solutions. Zach then moved to Zennify, where they held roles as a Sr. Data Architect and Principal Architect, Data. In these positions, they played a critical role in designing and enhancing enterprise data programs, enabling organizations to derive value from their data through integrations, governance, analytics, master data management, and machine learning/artificial intelligence.

Most recently, Zach joined NAVEX as a Principal Enterprise Architect, Data. In this role, they continue to leverage their expertise in data architecture to drive data strategies and services within the organization.

Throughout their career, Zach has consistently demonstrated their proficiency in data management, strategy development, and technical leadership.

Zach Smith-Steward obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science from California State University-Sacramento, completing their studies between 2008 and 2011.
