Michael Vance

Michael Vance has over 30 years of work experience in various roles within the information security field. Michael started their career as a Senior Analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago in 1988. Michael then joined Arthur Andersen as a Senior External Connectivity Analyst in 1998. In 2002, Michael moved to Sallie Mae, where they held multiple positions, including Sr. Information Security Analyst, Information Security Technical Architect, Senior Technical Architect, and Director of Security Architecture. Michael continued with Sallie Mae until the company split into Navient and the "new" Sallie Mae in 2014. Michael joined Navient as a Director of Security Architecture and later took on the role of Senior Director of Security Architecture. Michael is currently serving as the Sr. Director & Chief Information Security Officer at Navient, where they are responsible for information security strategy, architecture, compliance, and policy-making.

Michael Vance attended Northwestern University from 1987 to 1991, where they earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Biological Sciences.
