Gary Johnson has over 18 years of work experience in software development and engineering. Gary began their career in 2003 as a Software Test Engineer for Volt Technical Resources, where they ran weekly automation test passes, investigated test failures, and entered bugs into Product Studio. In 2004, they worked as a Software Test Engineer for Excell Data, testing SCSI adapters and devices for Windows 2003 Server SP1. The following year, they worked as a Software Test Engineer for Excel Data, running automated tests using WTT and Archon for ADMT and DNS. In 2006, they returned to Excell Data as a Software Test Engineer, running manual and semi-automated tests for UPNP, RNDIS, RAS, Media Sense and IPSEC. From 2007 to 2015, they worked for TrygTech and HCL Technologies as a Software Development Engineer, providing updates for existing tools, taking ownership of other tools and adding new features to them, and creating new tools for other Core Ops groups. In 2019, they worked as a Software Development Engineer for iSoftStone, a vendor contract for Microsoft in the Office organization, where they worked on an internal content management system used to publish web sites for multiple Microsoft products. From 2017 to 2020, they worked for Akvelon, Inc. and TEKsystems as a Software Development Engineer, where they fixed accessibility bugs in Visual Studio plug-ins for Analysis Services, Reporting Services and their components in Management Studio, and worked on Microsoft M365 CXP team as a full stack developer. Currently, they work as a Full Stack Developer for NavigatorCRE since 2022.

Gary Johnson attended Snohomish High School from 1983 to 1986, where they obtained their High School degree. Gary then attended Everett Community College from 1987 to 1988, studying Computer Science. In June 2019, they obtained a Section 508 Standards for Web certification from the DHS - Office of Accessible Systems & Technology.
