Denise M. Lowsley

Denise M. Lowsley is currently the SVP & CHRO at Navigators. Previously, they were the EVP & Chief Human Resources Officer at The Hanover Insurance Group for 2 years and 10 months. Prior to that, Denise was the Senior Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer at The Navigators Group, Inc. for 10 years and 7 months. During their time at Navigators, they were responsible for all aspects of Human Resource Management including talent management, executive compensation, incentive design, equity plans, mergers & acquisitions, coaching, employee relations, benefits, payroll, expatriate management, etc. Denise also led the successful design and implementation of Workday HRIS for US and UK in Phase I with Recruitment, Talent Management, Time Management and Core products. Additionally, Denise provided M&A leadership in Navigators’ sale including negotiation of HR related deal terms as well as M&A support for Navigators’ acquisition of Belgian company. Some other key achievements during their time at Navigators include introducing and embedding Succession Planning, Mentorships and Leadership Framework; building a high performing HR team of 12 (9 U.S. & 3 U.K.), consistently recognized for business acumen, expertise and high service levels; and re-designing the benefit offering to achieve highest perceived value of employees. Before working at Navigators, Denise was the International Vice President at New York Life Insurance Company for 1 year and 5 months and the Senior Merchandise Analyst at The TJX Companies, Inc. for 2 years and 2 months.

Denise M. Lowsley has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in Political Science and Government from 1989-1993. Denise was also in Kappa Kappa Gamma. Before that, they went to St Joseph Central High School in Pittsfield, MA from 1986-1989.
