Charlie Caruso

Charlie Caruso has over 22-years of professional experience in healthcare IT, all with MEDITECH hospitals. For the past seven (7) years, Charlie was the Chief Information Officer and VP of Business Process Improvement (Revenue Cycle) for a community hospital in Southern Maine. Due to his strong relationship-building skills and nimble IT teams, Charlie often positioned his organization to be a Pilot Site for several vendor initiatives such as RFID patient tracking with InfoLogix, Medication Histories with DrFirst, and E-prescribing with MEDITECH/LSS and DrFirst. Of his many accomplishments, Charlie successfully met Stage I Meaningful Use for his former organization using MEDITECH and LSS.

With over ten (10) years of consulting experience as an independent consultant, Charlie was also a former Executive Director within the MEDITECH Group at Superior Consultant Company. He has been a past presenter at MEDITECH’s CIO and Physician Forums, and has presented at the International MUSE conference.

Charlie has a Bachelor of Science in Finance from University of Maine at Orono and a Master of Science in Healthcare Management from Maine’s Husson College.
