Alan Cook

Alan Cook is an experienced information security professional with a strong background in application security and compliance. Currently serving as a Supervisor of Application Security at Navy Federal Credit Union since June 2017, Alan has successfully managed penetration testing projects, mentored engineering teams, and implemented application security maturation activities. Prior roles include Senior Information Security and Compliance Specialist at ecfirst and IT Auditor for the Poarch Creek Indians. Alan holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Athens State University and a Graduate Certificate in Penetration Testing & Ethical Hacking from the SANS Technology Institute, showcasing a solid academic foundation complemented by extensive practical expertise in security assessments, policy development, and regulatory compliance.
