David Verbeeten, CIP, PhD

David Verbeeten, CIP, PhD has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. David is currently serving as the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Nayms, a crypto-native marketplace for insurance capitalization and risk transfer, where they are responsible for corporate strategy and direction. Prior to this, David was the President of Vertwin Enterprises Inc., a blockchain and insurance consultancy, where they focused on product development, research, and business reports.

David has also worked as a Senior Crypto/Data Science Researcher at ConsenSys Mesh, and as an Insurance Lead at ConsenSys, where they played essential roles in crypto and data science research and insurance. Before that, they worked at Munich Re Canada as an Underwriter, responsible for casualty treaty reinsurance. David also participated in Munich Re Canada's International Graduate Trainee program, gaining experience in reinsurance underwriting.

David Verbeeten has a diverse education history. David began their studies by earning an International Baccalaureate and Ontario High School Diploma from the Toronto French School in 2000. David went on to pursue their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History and Political Science at the University of Toronto, which they obtained in 2004. During their undergraduate studies, David also participated in a student exchange program at the University of Warwick, where they continued their studies in History and Political Science.

In 2004, David pursued a Master's degree in History and Political Science at King's College London. Following this, in 2006, they earned a language diploma in Hebrew from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
