Prasoon Agarwal, PhD, is a Bioinformatics Scientist at the National Bioinformatics Infrastructure Sweden since November 2021 and serves as a Guest Editor for the International Journal of Molecular Sciences. Prasoon held the position of Guest Associate Editor for Frontiers in Endocrinology from January 2022 to July 2023 and previously managed a clinical database for the Barth Syndrome Foundation. Experience includes clinical research at KTH and project management at the University of Manitoba, focusing on clinical data involving type 2 diabetes in children. Prasoon has also contributed as a Guest Editor for Hindawi Publishing and as a visiting instructor at the Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar. Educational qualifications encompass a PhD in Bioinformatics and Cancer Biology from Uppsala University and various degrees in biotechnology and bioinformatics.

NBIS will enable world-class life science by providing expert knowledge, creative data integration, advanced training, efficient data publication and access to high-performance data and analysis methods. NBIS will continue coordinating bioinformatics support within Sweden and make bioinformatics easily accessible for life science researchers.
