Mik Hartel

Mik Hartel has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Mik started their career in 1989 at KLM, where they held various roles for almost a decade. Mik then co-founded and served as the Chief Operations Officer of Dutchport, a joint venture between KLM and Swissport, where they were responsible for business planning, strategy development, and operational oversight.

In 2000, Mik joined Swissport Americas as the CIO, where they made executive technology decisions and managed overall operations. Mik later became the VP of Corporate Services & CIO Americas, overseeing multiple departments and leading special projects.

Mik then worked at MedImmune as a Project Manager, where they successfully completed an IT infrastructure overhaul for H1N1 Pandemic Technology Preparedness. Mik later became the owner and entrepreneur of Interimchoice, LLC, before joining NAVC North American Veterinary Community as the Vice President of Development and Technology. At NAVC, Mik played a key role in providing world-class continuing education to the veterinary healthcare team and managing the largest veterinary event in the world.

Most recently, Mik joined NCCER as the Head of Information Technology. NCCER provides training and certification for craft professionals in construction and oil & gas. Mik's role involves providing curriculum, online learning, and computer-based testing, as well as credentialing and certifying professionals in these industries.

Mik Hartel completed their primary and secondary education at the European School in Bergen from 1971 to 1984, where they obtained a baccalaureate degree in Science. Subsequently, from 1984 to 1989, Mik attended the Inholland Academy, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration & Industrial Engineering.
