Kanupriya Saigal

Kanupriya Saigal has a diverse work experience in various industries and roles. Kanupriya started their career as an Anchor at Moving Pictures in 1997. Kanupriya then worked as a News Anchor at Zee News in 1999. From 2000 to 2011, they served as a Sr. News Editor at New Delhi Television, where they managed the news desk, coordinated with reporters, and handled breaking news situations.

In 2012, Saigal joined Syngenta, a global agribusiness company, where they initially worked as a Manager of Public Affairs, and later became the South Asia Lead for External Communications and Branding. In their role, they shaped the media and advocacy function, managed the company's brand reputation, and built relationships with government, media, and civil society.

In 2016, Saigal founded BeePositive++, a socially sustainable start-up focused on promoting beekeeping as a secondary source of income in rural India. The start-up was recognized by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-Delhi) and the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, for its innovative approach.

From 2017 to 2018, Saigal worked as the Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President of Marketing and Communications at NCDEX, the leading agri-commodity exchange in India. In this role, they were responsible for devising marketing strategies, brand positioning, market planning, and product promotion.

Currently, Saigal is the Head of CSR at DCM Shriram Limited, where they oversee CSR initiatives for multiple businesses and handles public policy related issues.

Kanupriya Saigal holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in International Business from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, completed from 2011 to 2014. Kanupriya also pursued a special course on Women Empowerment and Entrepreneurship at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi from 2016 to 2017. Kanupriya completed their Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from St. Stephen's College, Delhi from 1994 to 1997. Kanupriya attended Springdales School from 1979 to 1993. Additionally, they completed a Leadership Effectiveness Program in Corporate Leadership at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore in 2019.
