Richard Simmons has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of industrial hygiene and occupational health. Richard is currently serving as the Director of Industrial Hygiene at Cornerstone Building Brands, where they lead the industrial hygiene and occupational health efforts for over 80 locations nationwide. Prior to this, they held global director roles at O-I, where they oversaw industrial hygiene and occupational health initiatives, and at Babcock & Wilcox, where they managed global environmental affairs and occupational health. Richard also has experience as an environmental engineering unit manager and licensing and safety analysis engineer at BWX Technologies, Inc. Before that, they worked as a manager of industrial hygiene at Babcock & Wilcox, a safety engineer/lead ergonomist at Mercedes-Benz USA, and a regional EHS manager at GAF. Richard has also held positions as an EHS manager at Werner Ladder, an industrial hygiene manager at WestPoint Stevens, and a division industrial hygienist at Texaco NGPLD. Overall, Richard Simmons has demonstrated expertise and leadership in the field of industrial hygiene and occupational health throughout their career.

Richard Simmons completed their education in the field of Public Health and Industrial Hygiene. Richard obtained a Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH) from the University of Alabama at Birmingham from 1989 to 1991. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Physical Sciences from Auburn University at Montgomery from 1985 to 1989. Additionally, Simmons obtained certifications as a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) from both the ABIH and the Board for Global EHS Credentialing (BGC®) in 1995 and 1996 respectively.
