Todd Kaplinger

Todd Kaplinger has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Todd currently serves as the Vice President of Software Engineering, Chief Architect for Retail Solutions at NCR Voyix. In this role, they collaborate with executive leadership to develop a market-leading retail solutions and technology roadmap. Todd also establishes effective systems and process governance programs and drives standardization and data quality across business processes.

Prior to their current position, Kaplinger worked at NCR Corporation as the Executive Director of Software Architecture, Chief Architect for Retail Solutions. Here, they led a global team and developed a unified technology strategy and architecture for retail solutions. Todd also designed an innovative K8 platform for retail and orchestrated the migration of legacy retail software to a cloud-native microservices architecture.

Before joining NCR, Kaplinger held various roles at IBM. Todd was a Senior Technical Staff Member (STSM) and Architect in the IBM Blockchain Stealth Incubator, where they oversaw the architecture and development of a next-generation token platform. Todd also served as an STSM and Architect in IBM Cloud Private and IBM Bluemix DevOps Services, where they led architecture initiatives and built cognitive ChatOps powered by IBM Watson.

Additionally, Kaplinger worked at Cardinal Group International as a Consultant and at Children's Hospital Boston as a Business Analyst. Overall, their work experience demonstrates a strong background in software architecture, cloud technologies, and retail solutions.

Todd Kaplinger holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Finance from Bentley University. Todd also obtained a Graduate Level Certificate in Applied Sciences, specifically in Software Engineering, from Harvard Extension School.
