Soren Poffenberger

Soren Poffenberger has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Starting in 2014, Soren worked as a Youth Ministry Specialist at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, where they developed and led programs promoting community, personal growth, mentorship, and volunteerism. They served in this role until 2019.

In 2019, Soren transitioned to the hospitality industry, joining Finnegans Brew Co. as an Assistant Taproom Manager. In this role, they oversaw day-to-day operations, including sales, customer service, stocking, and events. Soren excelled at engaging a diverse range of clients and served as a liaison between taproom staff, management, and the CEO. They also maintained strong communication skills in person, over the phone, and through email. Soren's tenure at Finnegans Brew Co. lasted until 2021.

Soren's most recent work experience is with NDM, where they have held multiple positions. They started as a SOC Analyst in January 2022, analyzing and responding to security threats. They then progressed to the role of Junior SIEM Engineer in June 2022, before assuming their current position as a SIEM Engineer, starting in August 2022. Soren Poffenberger holds a Bachelor's degree in Religion/Religious Studies from Concordia College, which was obtained from 2009 to 2013. In addition to their degree, Soren has obtained several certifications including LogRhythm Support Engineer, LogRhythm Platform Administrator, LogRhythm Security Analyst, Cybersecurity Boot Camp from the University of Minnesota, and CompTIA Security+ ce Certification from CompTIA. These certifications were obtained between 2021 and 2022.
