Scott Bode is an experienced professional in environmental policy and natural resource management with a significant focus on sustainable agriculture and climate change. Currently serving as a Team Leader/Consultant at Near East Foundation since March 2023, Scott is developing specialized training modules in agriculture value chains while utilizing a Training of the Trainers approach. In the role of Policy Advisor Environmental at the Syria Recovery Trust Fund since June 2019, Scott leads the implementation of US environmental policies in post-conflict contexts. Other roles include serving as a Climate Change Specialist for IOS Partners and an Environmental Specialist for FEMA. Scott's earlier experience includes key positions at ACDI/VOCA and USAID, where contributions included developing strategies for Climate Smart Agriculture and managing substantial USAID-funded programs. Scott holds a Master of Science in Forestry from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Beloit College.
