Chris Williams

Chris Williams has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Currently, they serve as the Head of Strategic Partnerships at NearForm, where they focus on establishing partnerships and creating digital advantage for customers globally. Prior to that, they co-founded Executor's Key and Voodoo Tiki God LLC.

In their previous positions, Chris held various leadership roles at Cloudreach, including Head of Research and Development, Head of Software, General Manager for Google Cloud Platform, Chief Technology Officer for North America, and Cloud Strategist. During their time at Cloudreach, they played an instrumental role in driving IT discovery, cloud cost projection, recommendation, and migrations, as well as developing modernization discovery and recommendation platforms.

Before joining Cloudreach, Chris co-founded Emerging Technology Advisors, where they held the position of Co-Founder and CTO. Chris also served as the President and CEO of Iterative Designs LLC, focusing on bringing dreams and visions into reality for clients. Chris has experience in product development and engineering roles, having served as the Vice President of Product Development at SaferAging and Vice President of Product Engineering at OurParents.com.

Earlier in their career, Chris worked as a Senior Web and Application Security Engineer at Knowledge Consulting Group and as a Senior Software Engineer at Cryptek. In these roles, they focused on ensuring the security profile of web applications and systems, and they played a part in leading their teams towards proactive and aggressive security approaches.

Chris Williams earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Virginia Tech, where they studied from 1999 to 2002. Chris then pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science and Applications at the same institution from 2002 to 2004.

In addition to their formal education, Chris has obtained several certifications. In June 2020, they became a Professional Cloud Security Engineer certified by Google Cloud. Chris also completed various certifications from Amazon Web Services (AWS), including AWS Partner: Sales Accreditation in November 2022 and AWS Partner: Generative AI Essentials (Business) in August 2023.
