In this role, they were responsible for M&A due diligence and terms oversight with financial institutions, institutional and individual stockholders, and VC funds; corporate transactions and governance advising for board members, shareholders, and founders; and international tax compliance and enterprise risk advising. During their time with the company, they helped interpret and define evolving FATCA-related tax compliance during a period of hypergrowth, enabling hundreds-of-billions in organic and inorganic growth.

Berenice Nuss graduated from Duke University with a Doctor of Law degree in 2007 and from the University of Maryland College Park with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism in 2002.
