Elmar Mair has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. In 2010, they worked as a Visiting Student at Johns Hopkins University. Elmar then served as a Visiting Student at the Australian National University in 2011 and 2012.

From 2012 to 2014, Elmar worked as a Researcher at DLR, a German Aerospace Center. Later, they joined Technische Universität München as a Research Assistant from 2007 to 2012.

Moving forward, Elmar worked at Robert Bosch LLC as a Senior Research Engineer from February 2014 to May 2015. Elmar was then promoted to the role of Group Manager from June 2015 to September 2015.

In 2015, Elmar joined Lucid Motors as the Head of Autonomous Driving AI, where they contributed to the development of self-driving technology. Elmar then joined X, the moonshot factory in 2016 as the Head of Perception, a role they held until July 2020.

Most recently, Elmar Mair co-founded neatleaf in August 2020, where they continue to contribute their expertise and skills.

Elmar Mair's education history includes a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science from Leopold-Franzens Universität Innsbruck. Elmar attended this institution from 2002 to 2005. Additionally, during the same period, from 2006 to 2007, Elmar also completed a Doctor rer. nat. degree in Computer Science at the Technical University of Munich.
