Rena Sheehan

Rena Sheehan, MBA, LICSW, serves as the Vice President of Clinical Strategy and Implementation at Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island since August 2023. Previously, Rena held the position of Vice President of Clinical Integration at Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island from March 2021 to September 2023, where responsibilities included creating value propositions for various management services and redesigning reporting metrics. Rena’s extensive experience at Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island also includes roles as Managing Director of Behavioral Health, where a strategic plan for behavioral health was executed, and as manager for Utilization Management Vendors, focusing on quality initiatives. Rena's earlier career includes serving as Vice President of Clinical Services at The Kent Center, where integration of behavioral health and primary care was prioritized. Rena holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Rhode Island and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Rhode Island College.
